Dexter Matthew - in some ways the driving force behind this whole project. He came up with the name for the album after several brainstorming sessions - his other suggestions included "Train Tunnel Boat", "Tin Man Straw Man", "More Cheese", and "Two Silly Fish". A current obsession gave us this title - "Dig Dig" - and it seems to have stuck. I wrote this with thoughts of impending fatherhood while Heather was pregnant with the orange looney and I ended up with a ballad. Danny - it must be said - plays a blinder on this, a kind of Gary Moore meets Abdullah Ibrahim. So thanks, Dex. If a father can look up to a 2-year old son, then you're my hero.
