The following images are taken from Short Stories. This piece has evolved over a 7 year period. There are over 1000 small (7.5cm x 5cm) photographs. This piece was exhibited in April 2000 in Italy as part of the European Womens' Photography Award, and was recently shown at the University of Texas at Dallas Gallery where each image was mounted onto a magnetic backing and placed on to a refrigerator.

"I have worked consistently on this series of small colour images, each image recording an incident or experience. They include supremely insignificant details of my life which in their banality and ordinariness find a universal resonance in all our lives. The individual images are intensely observed moments, yet are portrayed on such a small scale that the viewer, although required to view precisely, is tempted to let his concentration wander quickly from one image to the next. The juxtaposition of the various individual images within the work provides a narrative for the artist and the viewer which transcends any written, pre-determined description, underlining the power that the pure image holds over the word. The strength of the work is the context which each image creates for its neighbour - a self-sufficient, inter-dependent collection of images brought together in a manner which reflects the strong narrative formed in my life between seemingly unrelated incidents, people and places. I believe that this narrative which we all find written between various haphazard experiences in our lives is the very fabric which makes our lives unique, coherent and liveable."
